Introduction

Research suggests that sociopaths make up between 1 and 4% of the U.S. population with 5 to 15% of the world’s population deemed “almost psychopathic.” Sociopaths are master manipulators and the traits that define sociopathy tend to be assets in achieving positions of power.

Our society is moving in the direction of permitting, reinforcing, and in some cases actually valuing some of the traits listed in the Psychopathy Checklist.
